Chris has been on and around the water since his family left Sydney when he was 7 and moved to Hawaii.
Growing up in Hawaii, and working on Waikiki Beach with the renowned Clyde Aikau & his beach hire crew has given chris a solid grounding in and acute awareness of the sea and all its associated sports and disciplines.
He moved back to Australia in the late 80's where he continued working in the water, skippering recreational vessels. In the early 90's Chris opened Noosa Longboards, he was involved in the competitive scene locally and internationally and his passion for Tandem Surfing lead him to winning a world title.
Always looking for new challenges, his next sport of choice was Kitesurfing which was pretty much unheard of in Australia at the time, so he had to teach himself, and has gone on to teach many other people kiteboarding, along with surfing, sailing, windsurfing and the newest watersport he enjoys teaching in Stand Up Paddle Surfing, which is a great experience on flat water or out in the surf.
